Web is accessible by default

World's first website is accessible. In words of Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director and inventor of the World Wide Web

“The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect.”

So what makes the websites and applications inaccessible?

The answer is us.

We are making the web inaccessible through bad design, bad coding practices and bad testing. And one of the important reasons for this is lack of awareness around accessibility.

This website has been created to help spread awareness about accessibility through examples and reference links which can be used to get started.

It is initial phase and more resources and examples will be added over time. If you have some suggestions or feedbacks, you can reach out to me by filling the contact form here.
