For Autism Spectrum
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is characterized by persistent challenges with social communication and social interaction, and by the presence of restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities.
The most commonly known ASDs are autism and Asperger’s syndrome.
The people on autism spectrum may prefer consistent and straight forward things. Hence, we need to make sure that we have a diverse user base to test for our products and services.
- use simple language instead of complex words, idioms, etc.
- using simple colors combinations instead of bright contrasting colors
- bullets points preferable over huge paragraphs of text
- simple layout and navigation which is easy to understand
- make actions descriptive - buttons and anchor labels should be decriptive instead of vague keywords like 'click here'
